Not much leaping happening on this Leap Day. Jevin is feeling under the weather and spent most of the day on the couch. He was especially glad to receive a new Lego magazine in the mail.

Davin and the kids picked up a new grill this weekend and we took advantage of the beautiful weather today and tried it out. It's not typically grilling weather at the end of February!

Under Construction

I was able to spend the weekend at a women's retreat. The theme for the weekend was "Women Under Construction" and our theme verse was Ephesians 2:22: "And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by the Holy Spirit." It was a restorative weekend filled with God's Word, songs of praise and lots of laughter with my sisters-in-Christ.

I love the contrast of the dark, brooding sky and the sun-lit tree. After a cloud-filled day, it was so nice to see the sun, even if for just a few moments before sunset.

Sjolinds Chocolate House has delicious treats, yummy coffee and the cutest Scandinavian decorations. It's one of our favorite places to visit.

It was a beautiful, sunny afternoon. I "encouraged" the kids to get outside and they decided to do some sledding on our hill. Jevin was practicing his wipe-out technique. What a kid!

On the Ice

We have been enjoying attending the open skating at the Verona ice rink on Tuesday afternoons. Today we had the rink practically to ourselves. The kids were excited about how smooth the ice was and they have been working on skating backwards.

Reading Assignment

There are so many things I love about this picture. I love the look of concentration on Enavi's face, especially knowing how much she has improved on her timed reading assignments this year. I love that she has her cup of cocoa by her side, one of her morning rituals. I also love those adorable pink jammies. This is my girl.
