Jevin and I went for a bike ride this evening. It has been such a beautiful day and the sunset was lovely. I thought this was a fitting picture for our final day of summer vacation.

We tried a fun craft project today that involved tiles, markers, rubbing alcohol and fire! The kids loved it and the finished product looks really beautiful.

Jevin and Enavi have really enjoyed taking pottery classes at this local studio. Heidi is a fantastic teacher and her work is beautiful. It's so fun when John is also there, working on his sculptures. I love to see the "behind the scenes" art process.

We enjoyed a lazy Saturday morning. The kids stayed in their jammies, played, crafted and watched the Olympics while we worked on planning our Australia trip. Enavi pulled out her weaving loom and got it all set up and ready to go all by herself.

The garden continued to grow while we were on vacation - the produce as well as the weeds. Jevin braved the overgrown mess to pick these ripe tomatoes and peppers.

We celebrated our week of VBS with a family fun night at church. The inflatable water slides were amazing.. cold, but amazing!

I got to spend my morning with this little lady. We played at the park, had fun with play-doh, blew bubbles, played Go Fish and read a few books. I really enjoyed our play time together.

It's August already - yikes! I am starting feel like summer is almost over, which makes me sad, but then I spot things like goggles and towels and swimsuits and take a deep breath. We still have a few more weeks to enjoy summer!
