Day 91/365
Enavi told me today that drawing makes her happy. I caught her happily drawing with her oil pastels and blowing bubbles with her gum.

Glazed
Day 84/365
The freezing rain covered everything with a thick layer of ice. The droplets of ice suspended from the branches and tall grass looked like beautiful jewels.

A-tisket, a-tasket...
Day 81/365
...a pink and rainbow basket! This was the project of the day in our Monday art class. Enavi was one of the first kids to finish, and she credits her success to all of the weaving that she has been doing on her homemade loom. This was not Jevin's favorite project, and he will be finishing up his basket later in the week.

Spring Sunset
Day 80/365
I have a thing for sunsets, and I love the stark contrast of the gnarly oak tree set against the vibrant sky. It was a beautiful evening to capture the last few minutes of sunlight.

A Spot of Color
Day 78/365
It's been an overcast day and the gray afternoon called for a bit of color. I splurged on a lovely bouquet of flowers from the grocery store and made up a mini vase for the living room.

Sumo Bot Challenge
Day 70/365
Jevin participated in an Engineering for Kids class this morning. He was able to design and program his own sumo bot and the kids' bots battled each other. Jevin really enjoyed the class and had several successful matches.

Good Mail Day
Day 69/365
It's here! I finally made my last Project 365 into a book and my copy came in the mail today. It has 382 pictures crammed into 90 pages. I love the way that it turned out! Be prepared: if you see me within the next couple of weeks, I will probably make you look at it.

Colorful Window
Day 65/365
Enavi found a *really* old package of window markers that had been stashed in one of our pantry drawers. She had to carefully try out each color to see if they still worked after hiding out for such a long time.

Yarn Bombing
Day 63/365
Have you heard of yarn bombing? I recently watched a TED talk about how this phenomenon was started and then I saw these trees at the Verona library. They were lovely spots of color that brightened a gray and snowy afternoon.

Still Recovering
Day 62/365
It was another day of resting and recuperating at our house. The kids are both getting over colds and Enavi spent some time coloring, designing fashions, and playing with her paper dolls.

March Snow
Day 61/365
March lived up to its reputation and came in like a lion. We had no snow on the ground yesterday, and now there's a fresh blanket of the white stuff.
