I try not to include too many photos from clients in my personal 365 project, but this capture was too sweet not to share.  This family holds a special place in my heart and their little guy is just about the cutest thing ever!  It was a chilly evening, but the light was magical and I gasped when I saw this photo float across my screen as I was downloading the images.  This may be my new favorite photo of 2020.

Family

This is one of my favorite families to photograph!  So thankful I get to see them every year, see their smiles, hear the kids laugh, watch them grow.  This year we got lucky with an incredible sunset at the end of our time together.

It was such a treat to take Jana's senior pictures today.  First we dodged the rain and then we dodged the bright sunshine, but Jana did such a great job.  I think she'll have lots of beautiful pictures to choose from, but this was one of my favorites.

Through the Leaves

Just look at those beautiful eyes, peeking through the trailing leaves! I had this photo idea when I went for a walk around the yard and found these leaves cascading over tree branches and I spotted the sweet little white flowers. Enavi was kind enough to be my model - she is so patient with me when I get these crazy, creative picture ideas. I absolutely love the end result, and I think her eyes are especially compelling in this portrait.

I Will Be Here

Twenty-two years ago we had the song "I Will Be Here" by Steven Curtis Chapman sung at our wedding, and I still choke up every time I hear it. I am certainly blessed to be celebrating twenty-two years of marriage with this amazing guy. Happy anniversary, my love!

Iced Coffee

I love capturing the kids doing their normal, everyday things. Enavi and I took a drive this afternoon and picked up some iced coffee treats: an iced mocha for me and an iced caramel macchiato for her. When we got home, she settled in the sunny spot on the couch, music and games on her laptop, sipping her coffee treat. A relaxing summer afternoon, teenage style.
