Rose Lake at Twilight
This is probably my favorite picture from the whole weekend! I have wanted to try some long-exposure water photography for some time, so tonight I pulled out the tripod and headed to the dock. I love the deep color and smooth water, capturing this magical time of night at the lake.

Painting Project

Roadside Flowers
It was such a gorgeous day! Enavi has been feeling under the weather, so we didn't go far from home. I took a short walk and spotted these purple wildflowers on the roadside. As I was taking a few pictures, I could smell lilacs, lily of the valley and honeysuckle. Gotta love spring!

District 1 Old School House
The kids participated in a one-room school house experience at the District #1 School House in Mount Horeb. They had a lot of fun pretending to be students in the year 1893 and participated in reading, math, and history lessons. The teachers even taught the kids a Norwegian folk dance! Jevin is in the bright orange sweatshirt. :)

Mother's Day S'mores
I had a lovely Mother's Day and I am thankful that I was able to spend it with my family, including my mom, dad and sister. The weather was beautiful as well and we ended the day with a bonfire and s'mores. I can't think of any place I'd rather be!

Time Outside
We spent the morning catching up on yard work. Jevin and Davin mowed and trimmed, I tilled the garden, and Enavi helped pick asparagus and pull weeds. She did take a break to pick some dandelions and wood violets to decorate our front porch.

Spring Performance
We have lots of activities wrapping up this week, including REACH, our homeschool co-op where the kids take art, music and gym classes. Tonight we enjoyed their spring recital where the kids performed several songs they have been practicing this semester. This picture shows Enavi, along with some of her classmates, singing and playing the boomwhackers.
