Day 328/366
I love how the stems of this plant look like they are reaching for the light.
Look at all that texture! I've noticed more and more that the first thing that draws me into a subject is the light, but what keeps me interested is the variety in texture.
The prairie has turned golden and it glows in the afternoon sun. A new favorite outing is walking on the trails and taking in the details of the changing season.
I love the way the light filters through the dried leaves, allowing some parts to glow and some parts to remain in shadow.
After rain and wind yesterday, we had a sun-drenched skies with much colder temps. I took a late afternoon walk at Donald Park, admiring the touch of golden light on the landscape.
We had a rainy day and even some flashes of lightening and rumbles of thunder. I dodged the rain drops to capture a few pictures in the yard.
I declared today a no school day because of the beautiful weather. We explored Tower Hill State Park and then visited Peck's farm stand on the way home. The farm stand has a fun petting zoo and Enavi made several new friends, including this sweet pony.
Soaking up every last minute of this wonderful weather and the gift of a stunning sunset.
I was playing around with focus and light leaks and I was pleasantly surprised by the pattern of light rays in this capture.
There's just something about the way the tall grass glows in the late afternoon light that always catches my eye.
I love the way the light filters through the remaining leaves in the forest and makes this goldenrod glow.
Since the forecast is calling for rain showers the next couple of days, I took advantage of the nicer weather and went for a hike at Indian Lake County Park. There isn't a lot of flowers left blooming, but many of the trails were dotted with prairie fleabane. The white flowers and bright, sunny centers are always cheery.
I try not to include too many photos from clients in my personal 365 project, but this capture was too sweet not to share. This family holds a special place in my heart and their little guy is just about the cutest thing ever! It was a chilly evening, but the light was magical and I gasped when I saw this photo float across my screen as I was downloading the images. This may be my new favorite photo of 2020.
We have had the most glorious stretch of weather. We're going to soak up as much sun as we can before the cooler weather sets in.
We have had the most beautiful fall weather this week. Warm, sunny days and cool, clear nights. This is my favorite time of year!
We picked a very wind day to attempt school pictures. I think we managed to get some that we can use despite the challenging conditions. This is one of my favorites of the kids together.
