Day 328/366
I love how the stems of this plant look like they are reaching for the light.
Look at all that texture! I've noticed more and more that the first thing that draws me into a subject is the light, but what keeps me interested is the variety in texture.
The prairie has turned golden and it glows in the afternoon sun. A new favorite outing is walking on the trails and taking in the details of the changing season.
I love the way the light filters through the dried leaves, allowing some parts to glow and some parts to remain in shadow.
After rain and wind yesterday, we had a sun-drenched skies with much colder temps. I took a late afternoon walk at Donald Park, admiring the touch of golden light on the landscape.
We had a rainy day and even some flashes of lightening and rumbles of thunder. I dodged the rain drops to capture a few pictures in the yard.
I declared today a no school day because of the beautiful weather. We explored Tower Hill State Park and then visited Peck's farm stand on the way home. The farm stand has a fun petting zoo and Enavi made several new friends, including this sweet pony.
Soaking up every last minute of this wonderful weather and the gift of a stunning sunset.
I was playing around with focus and light leaks and I was pleasantly surprised by the pattern of light rays in this capture.
There's just something about the way the tall grass glows in the late afternoon light that always catches my eye.
