Wheat in the Field

I am a sucker for admiring wheat growing in the field. I have to take pictures of it every year, trying to time the pictures as close to harvest as possible. There is a farmer just a few miles from us that plants wheat in part of his field every year, and I decided to venture out near sunset to take a few pictures.

Black Caps

The black caps are ripe for the picking. Lots of yummy things to eat in the yard!

We made it home from Minnesota before it was too late to peek in the garden. The peas have been growing since we left.

We enjoyed s'mores, fireworks and a sent up a floating lantern in an early 4th of July celebration.

The kids were super excited to try out the new tube, so they went out for an evening boat ride. A fun end to a beautiful day!
