We call the wooded area behind our house "the gully" and every spring there is a stream of water that runs through the low-lying areas, run-off from the fields that lie above the valley. The stream is pretty robust right now, all of the rain and snow melt working together to create a steady flow, perfect for exploring in new rain boots.
