Even with all of the scariness of the world, we can look around at the beauty outside and be reminded that God is good, He is on His throne and His promises will never fail... including the promise of spring. The lilac bush has budded! It was so encouraging to see these little sprouts of hope as we walked around the yard just before sunset.
We read these words in church this morning. What a glorious reminder of who God is!
"God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.
The Lord Almighty is with us."
Psalm 46: 1-3, 7a
