I braved the cold for a few minutes this afternoon to snap some pictures of this milkweed pod in our garden. I found it yesterday when I was out looking for icicles and decided to venture out today to catch it in the afternoon sunlight. I love the prickly texture of the pod and the soft fluff on the seeds - such a cool contrast. I would have liked to stay outside longer as we're all feeling a little stir crazy, but I was beginning to lose feeling in my fingers. Probably time to head inside when one's extremities are numb!
